Highlights are generally done with foils, papers or painted on free-hand. You can achieve a subtle result of “sun kissed” or a little depth — to WOW! What a change! Most highlights are very personal and combine one or two of the following creative techniques:

|
|
>> Slicing >> Weaving (fine, medium, heavy) >> Back to Back >> Slice weaving >> Painting |

There are 3 choices for highlight / lowlight:
Full highlight/lowlight — foils are placed throughout the entire head, this is often a once or twice a year service.
Partial highlight/lowlight — foils are placed on top of the head, in the crown and around the face, or a large number of foils are placed only on the top of the head. The partial is the most common highlight service — it allows a change that most often looks a little more natural.
Top/spot foils — between 2 to 10 foils are placed in personally selected areas of the hair to add a little sparkle, or along the part to tide over a “grow out” until the next partial (for those clients who just can’t quite go the recommended 8-12 weeks between foil appointments). Great low maintenance service! |
